You may feel like there is very little you can relate to when it comes to stunning Hollywood star and talented actress, Blake Lively.

From her ever-ascending star to her fairytale romance with Woman in Gold actor, Ryan Reynolds, it seems Blake doesn't quite live the same life as the rest of us.

But if her recent candid interview is anything to go by, we may have more in common with the 27-year-old actress than we might think.

Opening up about the arrival of her baby daughter James at the end of last year, the star revealed that she's no stranger to the perils of motherhood and admitted she finds it far from easy at times.

Chatting candidly, the former Gossip Girl star acknowledged the trials and tribulations of becoming a mum, saying: "It's also tough and I get, like, pooped on all the time, and barfed on."

Understandably the doting new mum forgives her baby daughter for the constant lapse in manners, but admits she's the only one who could get away with it, joking: "And if anything else did this to me, I would club it."

Baby puke and full nappies aside, Blake explained that the experience of tending to your child's needs cannot be rivalled, gushing: "'But it's your baby and it's wonderful because even when it's tough, you just think, I'm so fortunate. That's it. It's wonderful."

While Blake appears to be navigating motherhood like any other new mum, it doesn't mean her and Ryan aren't immune to criticism as recent public backlash illustrated when the doting mum paid tribute to James' dad on Father's Day last weekend.
