With such a dedicated legion of fans on social media studying his every move, it was inevitable that they would get the first scoop on his baby news, but ‘inside’ sources close to the star have claimed that One Direction singer Louis Tomlinson has indeed become a father.
According to reports this weekend, Louis’ former partner Briana Jungwirth gave birth to their son on Thursday, in Los Angeles.
The news comes just days after Briana shared a snap of her blooming bump to Instagram, the caption reading: “So ready for you, my love!”
No further details of the birth – including the name – have been revealed, and the new dad has yet to confirm the news on his social media channels.
One person who has had plenty to say, however, is friend and mentor Simon Cowell. The father-of-one told The Mirror that he would jump at the chance to be the newborn’s godfather.
“We’ll have to wait and see. I’m godfather to a lot of kids now. I would if he asked,” said the X Factor mogul.
