Ayden Callaghan, who plays Joe Roscoe in Hollyoaks, used the The Baby Show in Birmingham's NEC as a platform to share the fantastic news with fans and followers.
Uploading a shot of himself and girlfriend, Sarah-Jane Honeywell, at yesterday's family event, the 33-year-old star, also known for playing Miles De Souza in Emmerdale, wrote: "Amazing day at @TheBabyShow so happy to say @sjhoneywell and I are expecting a little boy. Very excited and happy."
41-year-old Cbeebies presenter Sarah-Jane ws equally happy to share the news, saying: "So excited to say I'm expecting a baby with my amazing fiancé @AydenCallaghan thank u so much @TheBabyShow @StaturePR 4 an amazing day."
The couple have been inundated with congratulations since making their big announcement, with Ayden's co-star, Joe Tracini, writing: "You're gonna make truly wonderful parents and I'm over the moon for you both xx"
The couple, who got engaged in November last year, wasted no time thanking the public for their warm wishes, with Ayden writing: "Thank you all for your very lovely messages @sjhoneywell and I are so happy, excited and looking forward to welcoming our little man soon."
