Former Blue Peter presenter Helen Skelton and her husband, rugby player Richie Myler, have become parents for the first time.
The couple shared their wonderful news with Hello! magazine this evening, confirming that they are now the proud parents of a baby boy.
Helen and Richie, who tied the knot back in December 2013, have named their little boy Ernie. Countryfile presenter Helen revealed that little Ernie weighed in at 7lbs 9oz.
Both Mum and Baby are said to be “doing very well”.
The couple first announced their wonderful baby news back in February, telling Hello! that they were over the moon to be expecting.
“We know our little baby will change our lives completely, and so it should,” said Helen, who joined Richie for a stunning countryside pregnancy photo shoot at the time.
As well as being the first child for the couple, Helen and Richie revealed that little Ernie is also the first grandchild in the family, so there will no doubt be a huge celebration in both households this weekend.
