Dawn, who welcomed her first child with actor husband Chris O’Dowd three weeks ago, admitted that she could never have prepared for her role as a mum.
“People with kids tell you about it, but it’s impossible to grasp before you experience it yourself. Nothing compares,” she said.
And in an admission that plenty of us can identify with, the 36-year-old added: “I am mortified by the fact I used to tell people I understood what they meant because of how much I love my cat. I mean, don’t get me wrong, I do love my cat, but the way I love Art is off the scale.”
In possibly one of the most beautiful tributes to her little one, Dawn added: “When he sleeps, I miss him. The relentlessness of this mission would be impossible without that love. Nature really is wonderful.”
Wow, it sounds as though Dawn and Chris are relishing every moment of parenthood with their little one. We can’t wait to get a proper look at him!
