Today marks the first day of the Cambridge family’s visit to Canada and it looks like Prince George and Princess Charlotte are already melting hearts.

This is Charlotte’s first official royal visit so eyes were firmly planted on her as the family set down in Victoria today.

But Canadian crowds couldn’t help but be wooed by George as he stepped off the Canadian Air Force plane holding his father’s hand.

Kate wore a stunning blue fitted dress embellished with a special broach in the shape of the traditional Canadian maple leaf in honour of the family’s visit.

Welcomed by Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, George was spotted waving at him and his wife.

William later made a statement to the crowd explaining his excitement to share this trip with his children saying:

“Catherine and I are delighted to be back in Canada. When we were here last time, we had been married only three months.

“The warm welcome that you gave us at that important moment in our lives meant a lot to us – and we have never forgotten it.

“That is why we are so pleased that George and Charlotte can be with us in Canada this time round, beginning their own lifetime of friendship with this wonderful country.”

The family are due to spend eight days touring the country with their two children.
