Only weeks after photos of her eldest daughter raised debate online, mum-of-five Katie Price has faced further criticism regarding her parenting choices on Instagram.

Sharing a snap of her youngest child, Bunny, the reality TV star and former glamour model was confronted by fans and followers who were quick to raise question over Bunny's pierced ears.

The images, which have amassed almost 10,000 likes in a mere 15 hours, ignited an online debate regarding the practice, with members of the public desperately arguing their points on the issue.

Commenting on one photograph which shows a very sweet-looking Bunny smiling happily for the camera, one Instagram user wrote: "Poor Bunny, she has no say in this! Why not wait until she's older and she could of made her own decision?"

Defending Katie's choice to have her 18-month-old daughter's ears pierced, a fan of the 37-year-old Celebrity Big Brother contestant urged fellow followers to use a little perspective when discussing the issue.

"All the negative comments. It's her daughter, her choice. She's a excellent mum. For all the negative women and there opinions, use it on something more useful like REAL child abuse issues and stop trolling." (sic)

Refusing to take the criticism lying down, Katie eventually weighed in on the debate and thanked fans for their support while offering an insight into her decision, writing: "Thank you to everyone sticking up for me, and Kieran is half Spanish all the family have ears pierced ! But Princess hasn't."

With debate raging back and forth, one of Katie's Instagram followers felt compelled to bow out, but not before pouring scorn on those criticising the star's decision, writing: "I would love to sit here and argue with you about this all day, but what will it achieve?"

"You clearly don't seem to understand the concept, no parent would put their child through anything that would cause them long term harm or distress. It's 5 secs if that, my sisters daughter slept throughout hers so clearly it doesn't hurt as much as you may think, but your entitled to your opinion," she wrote. (sic)

So, where do you stand on the issue?
