From that ‘mum-kissing’ incident to modelling her son on Prince George, Sam Faiers has endured her fair share of criticism since becoming a mum – and the latest episode of her reality show, The Mummy Diaries – hasn’t done much to endear her to the naysayers.
Viewers have branded Sam ‘ridiculous’ for hiring a teacher to give her six-month-old son Paul Spanish lessons.
In last night’s episode, the 25-year-old revealed that she, herself, was speaking Spanish by the time she was a toddler – and she wants her beloved son to follow in her footsteps.
So, with high hopes of baby Paul growing up bilingual, Sam has drafted in a teacher to coach him in the basics of the language.
Viewers at home were a little bemused by the move, however, with many questioning the decision to teach Paul Spanish when he is nowhere near mastering the English language yet.

“Sam Faiers giving her baby Spanish lessons is the most ridiculous load of sh** I’ve ever heard,” tweeted one viewer.
Another, meanwhile, voiced their own criticism in a tweet reading: “Why the hell has Sam Faiers got some woman to come and teach her baby Spanish when he can’t even walk yet?”
We actually think it’s a nice idea – and if he grows up immersed in the language, he’s far more likely to pick it up, right?
