Known for his cutting remarks and inflated sense of self, this music mogul stunned many people when he showed a much softer side after becoming a dad for the first time at the age of 55.

It appears the arrival of Simon Cowell's son Eric has an incredible effect on the Britain's Got Talent judge who has admitted that he and partner Lauren Silverman now have plans to extend their brood.

Opening up about the decision, Simon revealed: "Myself and Lauren want to have more children of our own but we could adopt as well."

Admitting that adoption may actually be on the cards for the new family, Simon made no secret of his support for the idea, saying: "I wouldn't rule out it happening. It's a good idea. Im beginning to warm to [it]."

It seems Eric's arrival in February of last year changed Simon's perspective on life and admits that his son's presence has had a profound effect on his life, his health and his home, saying: "Now the house is full of people. It has become a home rather than a house."

Despite admitting that he's not the world's greatest disciplinarian, Simon says he places certain traits above others when it comes to his little boy, revealing: "I'm going to make sure we teach him manners and not to talk down to people. I'm terrible at discipline but that's all basic stuff."

It seems Simon doesn't just require Eric to show respect to his peers and elders, but insists that his little boy will acknowledge the importance of our furry friends, revealing: "The first thing I said to Lauren is we'll teach hm to always be kind to animals."

It certainly sounds like Simon is more than happy to add another little person to his newly bustling homestead!
