She previously described her pregnancy with her first child as “the worst”, and now singer Kelly Clarkson has opened up on the dilemma she faces over wanting to have more children and being scared to go through the process for a second time.

The Because of You singer, who gave birth to daughter River eight months ago, has spoken candidly about the possibility of expanding her family with husband Brandon Blackstock.

In an interview with Closer magazine, the 32-year-old said: “Even though I want another baby, I don’t want to be pregnant again. It was the worst experience of my life.”

Kelly added that she was left wondering about that ‘glow’ that pregnant women often speak about and experience, admitting that she didn’t have a high level of body confidence during her pregnancy.

“I didn’t feel attractive either. You hear people talking about a pregnancy glow, but I had no glow!” she added.

Following in the footsteps of fellow mum Kristen Bell, who last week said she would not bow to pressure to regain her pre-baby figure quickly, Kelly said that her baby is her priority.

“I divide my time between working and being with River and Brandon. There’s no time for the gym. I’m not focused on working out – the weight will come off when it comes off,” she said.

We love her refreshing approach to body image, and we bet there are plenty of mums out there who share her apprehension over getting pregnant again.
