The former Buffy the Vampire Slayer star, who is mum to five-year-old Charlotte and two-year-old Rocky, took to her Instagram account today to post a tender moment captured between her daughter and her deceased grandfather.
The 38-year-old actress, who is married to her Scooby-Doo co-star Freddie Prinze Jr., posted a black-and-white picture of little Charlotte touching a memorial plate dedicated to her granddad, Freddie Senior.
“My husband shared this picture and I had to repost it. It might be the most touching picture I have ever seen. My daughter and her Grandfather,” wrote Gellar.
In his original post, She’s All That actor Freddie simply wrote: “Payin’ tribute to the One…”
Sarah and Freddie are notoriously private when it comes to their children and their personal life, with Sarah previously admitting that she would never want to see her little ones following in her footsteps by becoming child stars.
“I think that might be child abuse if I sent my two-year-old to work. It’s one thing to have a dream, and it’s another thing to be the child of two actors. I think it puts an extremely different spin on it. They would have to do it as an adult,” she said.
