The 43-year-old, who is mum to two young children, has come in for major praise this week after opening up a nursery for the working mums in her office.
Zoe made up her mind to go ahead with the project last year, after five of her employees became mothers for the first time. In a much-lauded move, Zoe decided that the best way to support these new mums was to provide top-class care facilities in their workplace.
Describing the newest addition to her office plan as a “luxury”, Zoe revealed this week that the motivation behind creating the nursery was to give these working mums the best of both worlds.
Commenting after the unveiling of the new nursery, Zoe told the media: “In light of the controversies surrounding unequal pay and other forms of gender discrimination, I feel good sending the message to my team that they work for a company that supports and celebrates who they are in their personal lives, and that we aren’t afraid to let those truths influence the culture in the office in order to make us more productive and happy on the whole.”
She added: “Never apologise for being dedicated to your kids and challenge those around you to not only acknowledge, but celebrate your ability to be a mother and an asset in the workplace.”
