She welcomed her first child back in March, but controversy surrounded her pregnancy, after comments made in an interview were taken out of context.

Australian model Robyn Lawley previously blasted a publication for ‘manipulating’ her words and publishing an article suggesting that she considered an abortion over fears of getting stretch marks.

Now, in an update shared to social media, the 26-year-old has addressed the claims head-on.

Sharing a photo of herself wearing just her underwear, her stretch marks clear for the world to see, the star admitted that she is proud of her ‘tiger stripes’.

Referring to the hurtful article, Robyn wrote: “I was shocked not only because that is not what I said – not to mention I already had a tonne of stretch marks, like 90 percent of the world – but to read that entire article and be already heavily pregnant - that’s their angle?”

“As for my stretch marks, I knew they were coming and as they’re fading into white, I thought I might capture them because they are some badass tiger stripes. And I earned them,” she added.

In a move that is sure to give confidence to fellow mums, Robyn proceeded to send out a powerful message to women everywhere.

“We put an unbelievable amount of ridiculous, time-consuming pressure on women to care so much about their flaws and they forget how truly beautiful they are today. F*** them, who cares, be you, be loud, be proud. And put your efforts into skills that rely more on your physical self,” she wrote.

Robyn is mum to Ripley, her daughter with boyfriend Everest Schmidt.
