She recently said that she was ‘proud’ of how her and her estranged husband had handled their marriage split, but unfortunately it looks as though there could be drama ahead for singer Hilary Duff and Mike Comrie.

With mum-of-one Hilary filing for divorce back in February, it has emerged that Mike has responded by demanding joint custody of their three-year-old son Luca. Hilary has requested primary custody of the couple’s son, which would leave hockey player Mike with just visitation rights.

According to reports, Hilary has expressed her concern over Mike’s ‘partying antics’ and parental skills, and the update comes just weeks after a woman accused Mike of asking her for sex at a restaurant.

Hilary, who announced her separation from Mike in January of last year, recently insisted that all was amicable between the pair.

Opening up during an interview with People magazine, the 27-year-old said: “We are a unit and we’re going to be a unit for the rest of our lives. We realised we weren’t where we used to be, but I feel so lucky this happened when Luca was young because this is his normal now.”

This is no doubt a very difficult time for all involved, and we hope that there is a positive outcome for the family.
