It has undoubtedly been the most difficult year of her life, having first lost her husband and then entered a bitter legal feud with his children, and the impact is clear to see in Susan Schneider’s new interview.

Susan, who is the widow of the late actor Robin Williams, gave an insight into her grieving and her life now as she opened up in her first interview since the star’s death.

In the interview, set to air on Good Morning America next week, Susan is seen breaking down as she recalls their love and his tragic passing.

In a preview of the candid footage, Susan grows tearful as she describes her relationship with Williams as “the best love I ever dreamed of”.

Although it’s unclear how much information Susan can divulge about the court case involving Williams’ children, the preview does shed light on her feelings on the subject.

“While it was painful to have truckloads of his belongings removed from our home, it’s the few sentimental items I get to hold onto that mean everything to me,” Susan tells interviewer Amy Robach.

Susan married Williams back in 2011. The actor was found dead in his home in August 2014.
