Congratulations are in order for former TOWIE star Maria Fowler this week, with the news that she has given birth to her first child.
The 30-year-old welcomed a daughter with her boyfriend, Kelvin Batey, on 25th September.
The newborn tot – who tipped the scales at 8lbs 1oz – has been named Evie Paris Batey.
The news was confirmed today, with the release of photos of the new parents leaving the hospital with their little one.
Kelvin went on to tweet about Maria’s ‘complicated birth’, adding: “So proud of both of them and thankful things are OK now.”
No doubt Maria will be delighted and relieved all at once – she previously admitted that she was not enjoying her pregnancy journey.
Indeed, having been diagnosed with Symphysis Pubis Dysfunction, the reality star admitted that she was really struggling.
“Despite it being for an amazing reason, pregnancy is crap. Roll on next month. So uncomfortable and bored now,” tweeted Maria, in August.
Finally got my girls home after a complicated birth. So proud of the both of them and thankful things are ok now. Evie Paris Batey 25/9/16

She added: “It’s not even a body issue. I feel like I haven’t put much weight on at the moment. It’s the other side-effects – pains, etc. – that are hard.”
We’re sending kind wishes to her and her family.
