Viewers of ITV’s Loose Women will know that this is not a show for the fainthearted or easily-offended, but it appears as though one of the panellists took things a little too far this week.

Janet Street-Porter has found herself on the receiving end of backlash today, after slamming Prince George on what was his second birthday.

Poking fun at the Royal tot’s outfit at his sister’s christening, Street-Porter said: “Quite frankly, he looks like a cross-dressing millionaire.”

When her comment was met with gasps from members of both the panel and the audience, she added: “He does! He’s a millionaire, and he’s got a girl’s blouse on.”

Anyone who has seen the beautiful pictures of George at Princess Charlotte’s christening will know that the Rachel Riley outfit he wore was a nod to his father, Prince William, who wore a similar outfit as a child.

Needless to say, viewers were not impressed with Street-Porter’s comments about the little Prince, and took to social media to make their feelings known.

“Can't believe what Janet Street-Porter said about Prince George. He's only a 2 year old little boy!!!” wrote one outraged viewer, while another branded her a ‘nasty piece of work’.

Expressing your opinion is one thing, but launching an attack on a two-year-old child is quite another.
