Enormous congratulations are in order this morning following the news that world-famous model and television star, Tyra Banks, has welcomed a baby into the life she shares with partner Erik Asla.
The America's Next Top Model host took to social media last night in order to share the news with her legions of fans and followers, and there's no doubt we have a very proud new mama on our hands!
Sharing a very simple image of a pink and blue striped woollen hat, the 42-year-old businesswoman could barely hide her delight as she paid tribute to both her new arrival and the woman who made it possible.
Tyra, who once addressed her fertility issues alongside fellow model Chrissy Teigan during a moving episode of FABLife, opted for surrogacy in an effort to start a family with Erik, and it sounds like Sports Illustrated model could not be more thankful.
Sharing her thoughts with Instagram users earlier this morning, new mum Tyra wrote: "The best present we worked and prayed so hard for is finally here. He's got my fingers and big eyes and his daddy Erik's mouth and chin."
Paying tribute to the woman who carried their child for nine months, Tyra took a moment to remember the innumerable couples who have yet to reach their family goals, writing: "As we thank the angel of a woman that carried our miracle baby boy for us, we pray for everyone who struggles to reach this joyous milestone."
Delighting fans all over the world, Tyra then revealed her son's chosen name, writing: "York Banks Asla, welcome to the world."
Messages of support have flooded in for the model who rose to fame in the early 90s, with one fan writing: "Congratulations to u both! Truly a blessing. I also love the name! Enjoy motherhood - it's truly unconditional!" (sic)
We couldn't be happier for Tyra and Erik.
