Dr. Carey Andrew-Jaja is known around the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center’s Magee-Women’s Hospital as the Singing Doctor.
Each time Dr. Carey delivers another little baby into the world, he sings them their very first Happy Birthday.
Explaining the tradition, Dr Carey said: "There was an older obstetrician-gynaecologist on staff and he loved to sing. Later on when he was about to retire, he asked me, ‘Andy, do you sing to your babies?’ And I said, ‘No, that’s your stuff.’ He said, ‘Go ahead. Do it.’ So I took over.”
