Just weeks after announcing that he is running for the office of President of the United States, Donald Trump’s past comments about breastfeeding have come back to haunt him.
The Apprentice star reportedly branded a female lawyer who was deposing him during a legal battle ‘disgusting’ for taking out a breast pump in the courtroom.
Lawyer Elizabeth Beck’s baby was three-months-old and at home at the time, and the mum requested a medical break from the hearing in order to pump.
According to documents obtained by the New York Post, Trump and his legal team objected to her request, and in order to illustrate that her situation was urgent, Beck took out her pump and showed it to the court. It was at this point that Trump branded Beck “disgusting”.
While Trump has been on the receiving end of criticism after this latest revelation, his tweets appear to show that he is far more concerned with the fact that he won the case against Beck.
After the story went public, Trump tweeted: “Lawyer Elizabeth Beck did a terrible job against me, she lost (I even got legal fees). I loved beating her, it was easy.”

Meanwhile, Trump’s attorney defended his actions, saying: “Unlike the other candidates, he is a determined businessman who stands up for what he believes, speaks his mind and talks from the heart.”
Trump announced his plans to run in the 2016 presidential election back in June.
