Hi I haves used it all week in every wash.and I do all my washes at 40 degrees. I am very aware of the Dettol brand and i use most of their products from disenfectant liquid and cream to kitchen bathroom and floor cleaners and I would tend to buy this brand over others especially for the sprays etc.

I Loved the smell of it, very fresh though i was disappointed that i couldnt use fabric conditioner. I know its not a washing detergent as such so it was hard to tell if it made any difference to the wash and I would have to say no apart from the smell though I do have piece of mind about the was being bacteria free. I didnt use any stain removal as I wasnt sure if I could so that was a bit of a minus. Though on the plus side it does not seem to have irrated my daughter's skin as she has very bad Eczema.

I would like to try it again and experiemnt with softener and with stain removal just to see if that makes a difference for me as I do like the idea of knowing that its is all germ free .

I would recommend that people do at least try it for themselves.

Thank you for the opportunity to try this product out and i will be buying again

I was looking forward to trying this product as I hadn't heard about it before but I have use many other Dettol products so it is a brand I would trust. I would regularly wash at 40C to save on the energy bills. The first wash I tried it on was a load of bedding and the results were good, nice and clean with a good smell. I then tried a load of towels, again happy with the results. I think I would use this product again but I suppose the main benefit of Dettol Laundry Cleanser is knowning that it kills 99.9% of bacteria but that is something that you can't see. I like the fact that I can use it even at a really low temperature of 15C and that it will work too. I have found myself using it on every wash since it's arrival in my house. So will continue to use it and would recommend it especially for towels and bedding with a lovely fresh smell.

I was away for a few days so only got to use my Dettol Laundry Cleanser over the last few days. I was a bit skeptical as I thought something by Dettol would be very effective at cleaning butt might not smell nice. I was wrong. It made my clothes and towels, etc smell lovely which I was thrilled about. I have not been using fabric softener for a long time so to me it worked as one to be honest. I'm surprised others did not feel the same and felt the need to also use another softener? My clothes and the kids' blankets were so much softer than usual and smelled lovely. It made me rethink not using a softener.

I love that it can kill germs and bugs properly at lower temeratures as I always wash at 30 and 40 degrees. It is something I would buy and use 100% if we have any sickness in the house. My only hesitation in buying it would just be the cost as with two capfuls per load of laundry I would run out fast.

We received the product late in the trial but I have to say in a household with a 1 year old, 15 year old boy and my dad in a nursing home (we do all of his washing) I was eager to experience the "germ free" claim with the product. My initial worry was that it would smell of dettol but the fragrance was lovely. I washed 4 loads with the dettol and I put lenor in the drawer at the same time. The clothes smelled lovely and fresh. I for one will definitely be using this product again as it gave me the peace of mind, particularly with my baby's clothes and my dad's especially with MRSA a huge issue in homes and hospitals.

Oh as a side note, I've just been shopping and I was shocked to see how pricey this product is. When you
consider that you're paying for detergent, softener and now €6 for Dettol it seems a bit steep. While I love the product I think I'll be bulk buying while it's on special/promotion price

Sorry for late reply- am in the middle of moving house!

I am aware if the dettol brand and would have bought their cleaning products before after having kids (wanted to use something that would clean bacteria but not have to many chemicals).

i had never heard of dettol laundry cleanser and at first glanse was not sure how to use it- was it like detergent or an extra? But after having second look at bottle I figured it out. I would normally wash all the family's clothes together so it is great to be able to kill all the bacteria in spoiled baby clothes without having to wash at very hot temperatures and possible shrink other clothes.

I would use the cleanser again as it seems to last quite long, leaves no smell on washed clothes and gives me piece of mind that clothes are really clean. I had one question though- is it safe to use when washing cloth nappies? Thanks- will def recommend product to other mums!

I was delighted to take part in this trial! Like some other reviewers, I was a bit skeptical about replacing my usual softener with the Dettol Laundry Cleanser but was pleasantly surprised. First up, I used it on our family towels, which sometimes have a tendency to smell damp, even after washing, and I never feel that they are fully "clean". With the Dettol Laundry Cleanser, they came out smelling great! Next, I tried it on our dog's blankets, which always require a wash of their own. Again, they came out smelling great and I felt they were really clean. I'm now using up the rest of my sample on "normal" washes (especially my toddler's grubby clothes) and am very happy with it. My mum has even bought some to try too. I had seen it advertised before but was put off as I thought it may smell like Dettol antiseptic, not something I'd like my clothes smelling of, but I really like the lavender scent. I usually shop in Aldi, with just the odd trip to Tesco, so this is not something I will be buying on a regular basis. If I see it on offer on a trip to Tesco though, I will definitely pick it up.

Thanks so much for the sample....i had not heard of the product before so was delighted to try it out. I was apprehensive at first incase it had a clinical smell but surprisingly enough it smelled quite pleasant.. I have seen other reviews where people were not sure if they could use fabric softner with it..however i did as i always like to use this..i just poured in one and then poured in the other. With 2 small children there is always mountains of washing in this house and was nice to know that i knew their clothes were hygienically clean. Also found that i had it used in a few days with the amount that was needed.
