10 people have been hospitalised following a shooting at a street party in Manchester.
The incident took place in the Moss Side area last night.
It is understood locals were out celebrating at a Caribbean Carnival earlier in the day. Numerous street parties took place after the event, including one on Claremont Road.
Officers responded to reports of gunshots in the area at approximately 2.30am.

Police are now trying to find out who is responsible for such a “dangerous attack.”
Speaking of the victims, Detective Superintendent Debbie Dooley stated: "We currently have a number of people in hospital all being treated for different injuries but thankfully most do not appear to be life-threatening at this time.”
She reassured residents that there will be a heavy police presence on the streets following the incident.
“We will have extra officers patrolling the area throughout the morning and into the coming days,” she said.

"The area is being searched and examined while we are also trying to speak to as many people as possible and are reviewing CCTV to get all the facts,” Superintendent Dooley added.
