Most parents are in a constant battle with their little one's toys that seems to take over every room in your notice without you even noticing.

Here are some simple ways to win this war, and stop toys from taking over your home.

1. Wall baskets
If hanging wall baskets work well for bathroom storage, why wouldn’t they for kids' books and toys? Another idea is using hanging shoe compartments to store smaller toys and puzzles.

2. Magazine holders
A lot of those magazine holder tables are deep and wide enough to hold toys instead of magazines.

3. Low cabinets
A low-lying cabinet makes it easy for you or your kids to put the toys away when they're not in use. Let your little one decorate with stickers or pictures to encourage them to really use it.

4. Storage bins
This makes clean-up time super easy - just throw everything into a bin. You can find containers in just about every colour and material, so it will still harmonise with your living room.

5. A wagon
If you keep the toys in a little wagon or cart, you can easily roll them on out of the room whenever you want. And then your toddler can roll them back in again.
