Earlier this week we marvelled at the incredible play kitchen a mother created for her daughter, using just cardboard boxes, and now another couple has wowed us with their amazing creative talents.
Reddit user silasvirus82 took to the photo-sharing site Imgur this week to post a series of photos demonstrating how he and his wife transformed their daughter Rosie’s playroom into a farmyard.
In the post, the doting dad shared a step-by-step guide explaining how they achieved the final result, which is absolutely incredible.
First, they painted the green fields and the sky, setting up a blank canvas for the various animals and tractors of the farmyard. Then, they drew and carefully cut out the storage fixtures, creating them into a very cool ‘barn’. To finish, the couple drew and painted on their wall murals – and voila!
The detail that has gone into this room is just breath-taking, and the couple clearly put a lot of thought and energy into it.
“My wife even added some glitter glue to the [pond] water to make it sparkle! She also bought some EVA foam matting for her to play on. Curtains will be the last finishing touch,” wrote the dad.
It’s no wonder that the post has gained so much attention and praise online – it’s absolutely beautiful.
