One Dublin restaurant is hoping to find the two extremely honest customers who left the sweetest note after they realised they weren’t charged for part of their order.

The Marqette in Dublin Airport tweeted, “Honesty is a reward in itself but because of this customers integrity we would like to reward them with complimentary food and drink everytime they visit @MarqetteDublin in Dublin Airport ~ can everyone retweet to help us find this anonymous customer.”

They shared a photo of the heartwarming note where the customers explained that they weren’t charged for a small granola and yoghurt, but they didn’t realise until they were heading off to catch their flight.

The letter read:

"Dear Sir,

"We had a coffee and scones in your lovely place while waiting for our flight last weekend. My friend had a small granola & yoghurt which the lady placed on the scales but we did not see it did not register with the amount due to be paid by us. (On the receipt after paying.)

"I do hope the enclosed €5 will cover the cost.

"It was not seen by us until it was too late for the weighing again of the product as we were rushing to our flight.

We look forward to eating with you again, making sure to check our receipt!?! Thanking you!"

The kindness of the pair has restored our faith in humanity. We all know how hectic the airport can be, so to take the time to write the note and leave the extra money really is such a thoughtful move.
