Absolutely Fabulous actress, June Whitfield has sadly died at age 93.
June “passed away peacefully” on Friday, her agent confirmed.
The actress had a career spanning eight decades and is known for her comedic roles in the Carry On films, as well as her part in the long-running sitcom Terry And June.

However, it was June's portrayal of the grandmother in Absolutely Fabulous that most people will remember.
Tributes to "Gran" have been flooding in on social media, with her co-stars leading the way in honouring the 93-year-old actress.
Absolutely Fabulous co-star, Julia Sawalha took to Twitter to thank June for "teaching" her with such "grace and dignity."
Julia wrote: "Thank you #damejunewhitfield, for teaching me my craft with such grace and dignity. I always wanted you to know how in awe of you I was, however, you were always far too humble to accept my adoration. You were a great source of inspiration to me. Bye-bye Gran."

Actor Sanjeev Bhaskar described the actress as "classy, warm, funny [and a] talented lady."
Another fellow Absolutely Fabulous actress, Lumley told ITV news that she was "heartbroken to lose such a darling friend."
"[I] shall never forget her sensational talent, humour and her generosity to us all who had the joy of working with her on Absolutely Fabulous."
“She will always have a most special place in my heart,” she added.

Comedian David Walliams described June as "brilliant", adding that she wrote one "of the funniest lines in television history."
June was made a Dame in 2017 to reflect her service to drama and entertainment.
