Actor Chris Klein and wife expecting their first child

 

A birthday is always a very special occasion, but one very happy American actor had extra cause for celebration on his big day!

 

Congratulations are in order for American Pie actor Chris Klein, who has announced that he and wife Laina Thyfault are expecting their first child together.

 

The star chose his 37^th birthday – on Monday, March 14 – to share the news, taking to his social media channels to confirm the double celebration.

Posting a beautiful photo of his wife’s blossoming baby bump, Chris wrote: “My beautiful wife Laina and I are expecting our first child. 23 weeks along. Gratefully blessed on my 37^th B-Day.”

 

Needless to say, Chris was inundated with congratulatory message from fans and colleagues alike, with fellow noughties actress Sarah Michelle Gellar among the well-wishers.

 

 

Chris and Laina were together for three years before tying the knot in August 2015, on a ranch in Montana.

 

We are so thrilled for the couple, and wish Laina all the best with the rest of her pregnancy journey. What an exciting time for the couple!
