They have found themselves at the centre of plenty of controversy in the past number of months, and now new mum Jacqueline Jossa has spoken out in defence of boyfriend Dan Osborne after recordings of him allegedly threatening his ex-girlfriend emerged.

The drama unfolded last month, after recordings were leaked in which TOWIE star Dan is believed to have told Megan Tomlin, the mother of his 15-month-old son Teddy: It won’t be funny when you’re in hospital.”

Now, just weeks after welcoming her first child with Dan, little Ella Selina, Eastenders star Jacqueline has come out in praise of her boyfriend.

“I can assure you I wouldn’t stand by a man capable of everything Dan has been made out to be. He is my friend, boyfriend, and he is a brilliant father. Above all else, I just want to clear up, he has never once been violent or even shown signs towards me at all,” wrote the 22-year-old.

“I am 100 percent not saying what Daniel has said was right or okay, but people make mistakes when [in] dark places, and it’s something that we sorted out privately, not in front of the whole world. It’s something he has apologised for and is embarrassed about,” she added.

Jacqueline’s comments come as Dan’s ex Megan addressed the issue in an interview with new! magazine, in which she said she is “piecing life back together”.

“I still doubt myself now, but, with the support of my family, I’m slowly regaining my self-esteem, confidence and piecing my life back together – which is why I’d suggest to anyone who may be experiencing a similar situation to talk to someone close to you,” she said.
