Just four weeks after giving birth to her second child, much-loved actress, Samia Ghadie, has offered fans an insight to her day-to-day since becoming a mum-of-two

Writing for OK! magazine, the 33-year-old Coronation Street star reflected on the changes which have taken place since welcoming baby son Yves Joseph Longchambon into the life she shares with fiancé Sylvain and daughter Freya.

In a post which is bound to resonate with mums the world over, Samia, who met partner Sylvain after being paired with him on Dancing on Ice, wrote: "Anyone who is a parent will understand that feeling of being so tired that you almost feel drunk!"

Like most parents, Samia intended to adhere to the advice of the experts, but finds that life simply gets in the way sometimes, explaining: "I've been trying to use the old tip of 'sleep when baby sleeps' during the day but it's not really working as I always find something that needs doing."

While tending to both Yves and her six-year-old daughter, Samia admits exercise sessions have slid down her priority list. but intends to seek the advice of co-star and fellow mum, Helen Flanagan, once the time is right!

"I've obviously not been able to even think about doing any exercise yet but I have managed to go for walks with Yves in his pram," she explains, giving an insight into daily routine.

Paying tribute to Helen, who gave birth for the first time in June, Samia wrote: "I saw some pics of Helen Flanagan recently on her hols with her beautiful little girl Matilda."

"She's taken to motherhood so naturally and she looks absolutely amazing in her bikini just three months after giving birth – I will have to ask her what her secret is!" gushed Samia.

While crediting Helen for her incredible physique so soon after giving birth, Samia acknowledges that every woman's journey is different.

"It's still going to be another couple of weeks before I can contemplate any training with Sylvain and I'm not going to start obsessing about getting back into my skinny jeans." she reveals.

Like many mums who take their time shedding the baby weight, Samia, who hopes breastfeeding will have a postive impact, said: "The weight took nine months to put on so I'm fine if it takes a few months to lose it!"

We think she looks absolutely beautiful - as always!
