A huge congratulations is in order for actress Michelle Williams! US Weekly reports that the All the Money in the World actress is engaged to New York financial consultant Andrew Youmans.

The pair has been quietly dating in what is a very low-key romance since last July, according to reports. They have yet to be seen together in any public appearances.

According to the US magazine, Williams and Youmans were first spotted together in Rome last July, when she was filming All the Money in the World.

This is the "real deal," according to a source. "She wants a good guy and a stable family life."

“Michelle was totally focused on giving Matilda the best upbringing possible,” a friend told Us Weekly. Another added, “It took her a long time to get over Heath.”

And just look at the size of the ring! Rumours are rife that Williams was actually wearing her engagement ring - a beautiful heart-shaped diamond on her ring finger - after the Golden Globes this month.

This has yet to be confirmed by the actress, however, she was also spotted wearing the ring while on holidays at the beach in the Bahamas, where she spent New Year’s Day with Youmans and Matilda, her 12-year-old daughter with the late Heath Ledger.

The Dark Night Rises star passed away ten years ago, very suddenly and tragically, from an accidental overdose at just 28 years old.

Williams spoke of how difficult it was getting over his death and raising their young daughter as a single mother in an interview with Porter Magazine last year.

"In all honesty, for pretty much everything else, I feel like I'm a believer in not fighting circumstances, accepting where you are and where you've been. In pretty much all senses but one, I would be able to go totally down that line of thinking were it not for Matilda not having her dad. You know, that's just something that doesn't... I mean, it just won't ever be right," she said.

Williams and Ledger began dating in 2004 after meeting on the set of Brokeback Mountain, in which they played husband and wife. Though married in the film, the couple never wed in real life, but remained together for three years before splitting up in 2007, during which they had their daughter.

Considering the heartbreak Williams and her daughter have gone through, the engagement news is extra poignant.

We wish the couple every happiness.
