About: Aillwee Cave is located in the heart of the Burren in Co. Clare, and offers one of the most stunning views of Galway Bay from its terraced mountain side. This dramatic underworld area is a must-see for locals and visitors to the area. Experts will guide you along a tour which consists of a 30 minute stroll through the beautiful caverns. You will be brought over bridged chasms, under strange formations, and along thunderous waterfalls, where you might even get a little wet! You can also see a magnificent frozen waterfall and explore the extinct brown bears bones.

You will also be able to climb freely over the Burren limestone pavement above the cave. The Farm kitchen welcomes visitors where you can watch cheese being made and even sample some delicious homemade fudge, and choose from a selection of tasty chutneys, jams and pickles.

Your guide will then bring you back to the outside world, where you will be able to browse the unique craft shops, which are housed in the award winning complex. Once you have finished your tour and done some shopping, you can relax in the friendly tearooms. You can even enjoy a glass of wine while taking in the amazing views of Galway Bay.
