Amy Childs has opened up about experiencing feelings of ‘mum guilt’.
The former The Only Way is Essex star welcomed her twins into the world in April with her fiancé Billy Delbosq, and is also mum to five-year-old Polly and four-year-old Ritchie from previous relationships.
Amy has now admitted to feeling guilty about how busy she is at the moment with work and raising her twins, that she worries about her relationship with her daughter Polly.
Sharing a cute photo of Polly holding one of her newborn siblings for her 858K Instagram followers on her Stories, Amy opened up about her feelings recently.
The 33-year-old started off by writing, “Mum guilt post”, before continuing, “My Polly always so happy when mummy feels like she is constantly working, twin life, life getting in the way”.
“Work is super busy for me right now, which is great. Polly, your smile on your face everyday, never upset, just gets on with life”.
Childs closed off by adding, “Everything is all for my kids but major mum guilt”.
Before the birth of her twins, Amy revealed Polly was feeling ‘very emotional’ ahead of her siblings' arrival.
Amy asked for advice at the time as she explained, “Polly has been very emotional lately.. completely overwhelmed, don’t want to leave my side.. keeps on cuddling me and the bumps”.
“Maybe she knows change is coming, she tells me how much she loves me and how much she is going to miss me when I drop her off at school .. it’s making me really upset”.
The reality TV star added, “Any mums going through the same.. I feel such a terrible mum and it’s making me upset. I just want everything to be perfect when the twins come”.
After the twin’s birth, Amy admitted that Polly has settled into her role as big sister to the newborns.
“She is the best big sister to the twins, she was very much overwhelmed at first but she has completely changed and loves them so much”.
Amy and Billy welcomed the birth of their twins on April 6 and later announced they had called their newborns Billy River and Amelia Mae.
