Sadly, online body-shaming has become all-too common these days, which is something that Amy Huberman learned first-hand this week.

The actress and mother-of-two revealed that she removed an Instagram selfie after receiving criticism over her figure.

The 36-year-old had shared a beautiful mirror selfie while on holidays, with the caption reading: “How are y’all doing mirror selfie things? I’ve tried. And look like a teapot. A drunk teapot. That’s just seen a ghost in the mirror. But, like a super friendly ghost.”

It wasn’t long before Amy's followers began commenting on her appearance however, with a number of Instagram users accusing her of looking too thin.

Amy, who gave birth to son Billy back in November, took to the photo-blogging site today to address the issue, revealing that she had decided to remove the photo in light of the comments.

Posting a picture of a towel with ‘eyes’, the actress and author wrote: “I’m a bit of a newbie to Insta but I deleted a pic because it was all getting a bit ‘post baby body’ comment-y. Which is a bit boring and silly really, isn’t it? There’s more important things to life. Like towels with eyes.”

It’s such a shame that incidents such as these are so commonplace on social media.
