Since having kids i have terribly chapped hands…I’m constantly using wipes and cleaning (something that I used never do before the kids!) and now my hands are extremely dry. Can you recommend anything? I’ve tried some hand creams but they don’t seem to be helping. Thanks. x

Hi MummyPages!

Are there certain things that can trigger eczema to flare up? My daughter’s eczema seems to come and go and I was wondering what might be triggering it and how I can prevent it?

Thanks!

xx

My 8th mth old son had had v bad skin since he was about 1 wk old. I think
it's baby acne, he suffers from spot break outs , black heads and blocked
pores on his chin and cheeks. I usually just cleanse it with cotton wool and
warm water and then use a moisturizer like e45 or aqueous cream on him. Can
you please ask if they can recommend anything else? It's not really getting
any better as he gets older.

Hi, my son is 1 week shy of 4 months and he has terrible dry skin on his forehead. I have tried every cream and nothing seems to get that rough feeling to go away. I am using E45 right now, and it seems to work a small bit (better than the others) but has not cleared it up completely. It isn't flaky, just really dry. I have looked up cradle cap, but it doesn't seem to match my description. When he is angry, he scratches his forehead, causing it to bleed at times from being so dry. Any advise, thanks

I have an 8 year old who has white spots on her face she has always had them but recently a couple of them turned into black heads. I brought her to a beautican and she said it was because she was spending to long in the shower but her sister spends the same amount of time and she doesn't have them. Is there anything i can get or do to get rid of them. Thanks!

My now 4 year old daughter started getting spots on her face about a year ago, they appeared to be itchy and therefore have left some scaring from where she scratched. She has been on antibiotics and antihistamine cream for them and still did not go. We are now trying lactose free milk to see if she is intolerant although the spots seemed to have gone she still gets a redness on her cheeks and scars are still there. What is best way to reduce this?

My daughter, who's two and a half, has red blotchy patches on her skin. They're mainly on her face. I would love to know if you have a product that could diminish these blotches? I always use La Roche Posay products myself as I have sensitive skin. Looks like my daughter is following suit! Thanking you in advance.

My 11 month old son has very bad eczema on his hands, feet, belly and face. His hands are the worst as often the skin breaks. I use your lipikar baume and it is fantastic really helps with the dryness. Can you recommend a good wash for the bath for him?

My 3 year old son has very rough dry skin on his legs, it doesnt peel or anything but feels like sandpaper. I am just wondering if there is anything I could use on him? I asked my gp but she said to just use Silcocks Base but that just makes it greasy. Thank you :D

Hi, I have very sensitive skin and seem to react to many creams (I have very dry skin and I haven't discovered any cream that works completely - the best so far has been vichi nutrology 2 for very dry skin) and my 7 month old son seems to have similar problems. He has mild cradlecap which isn't budging no matter what I put on him. He skin also came out in a very dry and irritated rash as a reaction to penicillin. Any suggestions?

HI
My six year old son has dry skin, not typical looking excema. Looks more like small white pimples, but they get extremelty itchy and he tears lumps out of his skin scrathing himself. His thighs and bottom especially can be cut from all the scratching. I have been using Aveeno products but he complains they all sting him especially when his skin is red and sore. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hi there,
We have a new product called Cicplast Baume B5 which should do the trick here. Its a prorecovery skin care product for all kinds of epidermal lesions and is suitable for babies. I would suggest using this daily and see how you get on. It will encourage skin healing on the cheeks and reduce scarring. If this condition persists however I would ask your GP for a refrerral to Consultant dermatologist for a differential diagnosis as would not like to risk any scarring on little cheeks.

Hi Paula, Yes I would recommend Lipikar syndet wash from the same range. It will completely compliment what you are already doing with the emollient therapy with Lipikar Baume. Keep it up and here’s to a contented little baby with happy skin.
