Autumn Activities: 3 simple recipes you and your kids can make together

If you’re looking for some rainy day activities to do with the kids this autumn, then we’ve got a few ideas which we know both you and your little ones will love.

Baking is one of my favourite things to do when the kids say they’re bored for the one-millionth time (that morning). They usually love helping to stir in all of the ingredients and enjoy licking the bowl even more!

Listen, if it keeps them quiet, happy and entertained for a while, then it’s a win. Worry about the mess later…

Here are three simple recipes which both you and your children will love making together this autumn.

Pumpkin Swirl Brownies

This delectable recipe is such an autumn staple and a great way of getting your kids to eat their veggies!

Gingerbread Men Biscuits

While some say that gingerbread men are more of a winter/Christmas bake, I’ve always found ginger to be more of an autumnal spice. Plus, if you let your little ones take care of the decorating then that should leave you with enough time to enjoy a cup of tea in peace.

Hot Chocolate Cupcakes

Now that the nights are getting cooler and the days are getting shorter, it’s hot chocolate season once again! The scrumptious recipe is a sure crowd-pleaser, ideal for any chocoholics you may have running around at home.
