After nearly three decades of marriage, high school sweethearts Jon Bon Jovi and his wife Dorothea are still going strong.
The pair have four children together and Jon believes he and Dorothea are still together because she has always been his rock.
He told People magazine: “I’m the crazy visionary with all kinds of things flying, and the seams are splitting. She’s the one following me with the glue and thread and needle, keeping it all together."
Jon and his wife had a very humble beginning, meeting in high school in New Jersey, but it went way beyond that when Jon became famous.
In the height of his career, Jon and Dorothea got married - but it wasn't the extravagant affair you'd think it'd be. Nope, they eloped and got married by an Elvis impersonator in Las Vegas.
But it's not just rock and roll that they're into. They also have a keen interest in charity work and have opened two Soul Kitchen restaurants which helps those in need of a hot meal.
“To see people not be able to feed their families, it’s just not acceptable.”
The couple have managed to balance their life, relationships and having a family all with his fame and we totally applaud them for it.
But even with all his good work, Jon still credits his wife for all of it. “Somehow I became the poster boy for a long married rock star. But I’ll accept the mantle because I’m so happy.”
Happy wife, happy life, right?!
