And yes, there was plenty of cake!

2016's Great British Bake Off (GBBO) winner Candice Brown tied the knot in a beautiful ceremony at Chateau de Varennes in Burgundy, France, where the TV cook and author wed fiance Liam Macaulay.

It was a star-studded event where many former GBBO contestants and close friends of Candice not only attended but also helped bake the incredible wedding cakes on the day - 12 of them to be exact. And enough to fill an entire table.

Those lucky guests!

"There will never be another wedding-cake table like that – there was enough to feed about 300 people," Candice said.

She had only lovely things to say about her now husband, saying that they were much better as a team. "We have always said we work better together than we do apart. Being able to say we are now husband and wife is such a lovely thing."

The 33-year-old even wore her trademark red lip on the day, refusing to be anything but herself and shunning a more traditional beauty look. Candice told Hello! magazine: “There was no way I was going conservative on my wedding day.”

The Bake Off star wore an incredible strapless duchess satin gown by Monique Lhuillier that looked a mix of traditional and modernity; the ruffled detail on the bodice is a standout detail.

Congratulations to the happy couple on their wonderful day.
