Whether you are 30 or 40, your age should not dictate how you live your life - you should always feel confident in your abilities and appreciate what comes with turning older.

Sadly, a lot of mums can get stuck in a bit of a rut, spending their days ferrying their kids around, sometimes feeling like they don’t have the confidence to achieve what they truly want to. But thanks to the CAREFREE® brand you can change for the better.

As well as providing women with feminine products that keep them fresh and comfortable all day long, CAREFREE® also want you to feel confident every day and to live your life to the fullest.

With six very important pieces of advice from the CAREFREE® brand, you will be able to take on the world in no time!

1. Write down your excuses and then throw them away

It is easier to make up an excuse not to do a particular task than it is to face your fear and do it. Instead of telling yourself why you can't do something, write down each and every excuse that you have ever come up with on a piece of paper, read them out loud and then throw away – this will help give you a true sense of perspective.

2. Live in the moment

Stop wishing your life away by saying things will get better tomorrow or that you will do that job next week - live for today not for next year. Try to enjoy what you have now and live in the moment - you never know what's around the corner.

3. Accept yourself

We all spend way too much time putting ourselves down, pointing out our weaknesses and trying to be someone we’re not. Today, make a list of all your strengths and achievements, the things you love about yourself and all the positive things in your life - once you have accepted who you are the world will seem a lot less daunting.

4. Find out what your values are

This one may take a little time, but, in the end, you will be able to stay true to who you are and live life exactly how you want to. Ask yourself what you believe in, what values you hold dear and what is really important to you – by the end of the exercise you will understand who you really are.

5. Put a stop to negative thinking

Stop telling yourself what is wrong with you and stop trying to put yourself down; criticising yourself will only leave you with negative thoughts and processes, neither of which are very good for instilling confidence within you.

6. Take care of yourself

Skip the sugar, enjoy fresh fruit and vegetables, drink plenty of water, go for a run or join a class - the healthier you are the more positive you will feel. Remember, a healthy body is a happy mind.
