Call The Midwife share behind-the-scenes snaps of series 9

Call The Midwife won’t return until Christmas Day but they have been teasing fans with behind-the-scenes snaps of the cast.

Their latest snap of the Turners certainly brightened our day. Patrick and Shelagh are by far one of the show’s most loved couple’s so fans were delighted with the update.

Their son Timothy, played by Max Macmillan, also joined them for the photo. The doting on-screen family grinned in the snap.

The show explained that Max has been part of the show for seven years, “⁣Max has been in our drama for so long! His first appearance (see pic) was in the Christmas Special of 2012 - awww! Now he’s all grown up, and is currently working hard as a talented university music student!”

They teased, “⁣But what are they all up to in series 9?… you’ll just have to wait and see!”

Call The Midwife returns with a Christmas special on December 25. Series nine will air in early 2020.
