Mum-of-two Lorna Hogan has hit out at the father of her eight-year-old daughter Amelia for the lack of interest he shows in the little girl.

Reality TV star, Calum Best, has been slammed by 33-year-old Lorna for refusing to take a DNA test in 2009 to prove his paternity as well as displaying reluctance when it comes to meeting his child.

Calum's ex-partner has spoken out about her shock at seeing her daughter's absent father appear on the long-running reality TV show, saying: "This could not have come at a worse time. I blocked the pain and anger out for years, so when I came out of rehab and heard Calum was back on television every night it just blew me away."

Amelia's mother, whom Calum reportedly called a 'parasite' when he learned she intended to keep her child, had been in rehab to seek treatment for depression and addiction.

According to Lorna, Calum has been given numerous opportunities to meet his daughter but has cancelled on them.

Aside from offering congratulations when Amelia was born, Callum has been conspicuously absent from his daughter's life.

The mum-of-two claims she isn't the only one to have been affected by the star's disinterest, saying: "All she [Amelia] can say is that she doesn't know him and he doesn't want anything to do with her- it's heartbreaking."
