Congratulations are in order this morning for Charlotte Church, who has reportedly announced that she is expecting her third child.

The singer was performing at Birmingham Pride when she shared the news, live on stage.

Charlotte, who has been in a relationship with singer-songwriter Jonathan Powell for several years now, has yet to make further comment on social media.

The 31-year-old is, of course, already mother to nine-year-old Ruby, and eight-year-old Dexter; her children with her ex-fiancé, Gavin Henson.

While Charlotte has stayed largely out of the spotlight over the past number of years, she has opened up about co-parenting with the retired rugby player.

In a previous interview with The Guardian, she admitted that their relationship is ‘great’ and their children come first.

“We’re constantly talking and finding ways to make it better and limit the effect our separation has on the kids,” she explained.

“One of the most important things is an open dialogue, because our common interest is the best possible upbringing for our kids. Once you have got that in common, you should be fine.”

She also revealed that having children had a profound effect on her – particularly in terms of how she views the world.

She added: “Before kids, I’d been happy with the mainstream; I’d bought into everything. I was into that whole capitalist culture, but now I’m constantly thinking about how I want them to experience the world, and what I want to protect them from, and what I can.”

We shouldn’t be too surprised to hear that Charlotte is expanding her brood – just last year, she said she would ‘never rule anything out’ when it came to having more children.

What an exciting time for Charlotte and her family! We can’t wait to find out more details, and we’ll keep you updated as more information emerges.

Congrats, Charlotte!
