Widely referred to as ‘the next Gone Girl’, The Girl on the Train has enthralled readers around the world since its release – and now it’s set to do the same for cinema-goers.
The movie adaptation of Paula Hawkins’ smash-hit thriller is due to hit cinemas next autumn, and the first trailer has promised plenty of chills and thrills for fans anticipating the big-screen take on the story.
The Girl on the Train tells the story of Rachel Watson, a recent divorcee who makes a daily commute past the home that her ex-husband shares with his new wife. During that journey, Rachel also passes the home of another couple, and she begins to fantasise about their seemingly perfect life as she makes her way to work.
One day, however, things take a chilling turn when Rachel witnesses something shocking – and becomes entangled in a dangerous mystery.
The movie boasts an all-star cast including Emily Blunt, Justin Theroux and Rebecca Ferguson, and looks set to keep movie-goers on the edge of their seats.
