A recent admission from Coldplay frontman, Chris Martin, shows that we need to care for men going through divorce, just as much as we do female parties.

While Chris admits that he and Gwyneth Paltrow had an amicable split, “consciously uncoupling” after ten years of marriage, he still went through a number of “dark days”.

Talking to the Sunday Times about his divorce, the 37-year-old, who has been linked to Jennifer Lawrence since the split, explained how he still has bad days: "I still wake up down a lot of days. But now I feel like I've been given the tools to turn it around."

“You can come at it very aggressively and blame and blame. Or you can put yourself in the garage, so to speak. Take yourself apart and clean off the bits. Reassemble."

Revealing the one thing that truly helped him cope, the star, who is father to Apple and Moses with Gwyneth, explained just how much of a positive affect Rumi's poem The Guest House had on him: "That one Rumi poem changes everything. It says that even when you're unhappy, it's good for you."

"It took me a year to get it. A year of depression and all that."
