It looks like 2018 is going to be one incredible year for Angela Scanlon, with her first baby on the way and a new job lined up too.
The Robot Wars presenter shared some VERY exciting news with her fans this morning. Taking to Instagram, Angela teased, “First pinch-me-WTF moment coming in early this year...”
The mum-to-be revealed that she has landed a radio show with none other than BBC Radio 2.
“So happy to announce I’ll be joining some of my absolute broadcasting heroes at Team @bbcradio2 as the host of the early Sunday show,” she shared.
We are delighted for Angela- talk about kicking the New Year off in style.
Listeners can tune into Angela's new show on Sunday mornings, "Now all I have to do is stay awake,” she joked.
The host is set to join some of the biggest names in radio including Sara Cox, Graham Norton, Ken Bruce and Jo Whiley.
Shortly after her joyous announcement, Angela’s fans showered her with messages of love and support, “Wow that’s phenomenal! Can Not wait to tune in.”
“Wow! 2018 is going to be such a special year for you xx,” said another.
One user joked, “Ahhh nice one! Once your little one is born you'll have no issues waking up early!!”
This new job isn’t the only big change for Angela- The One Show reporter will be welcoming her first child into the world in the coming months.
