When Matt and Alyssa MacMillan found out that they were pregnant, they wanted to share it with the world in a way that was personal to them. As Matt dabbles in film-making in his spare time, the couple decided to shoot a horror-inspired movie trailer.
The two-and-a-half-minute-long trailer for Baby documents the couple’s journey to find out what’s happening to their lives and their home when they realise that ‘something’s not quite right’.
They enlist the help of a ‘ghost specialist’, who comes into their home and takes all manner of readings in a bid to figure out who the unexpected new guest is. After a chilling lead-up, it turns out that the MacMillans are actually pregnant – yes, it’s a little baby who has come into their lives!
“This thing is coming, and there’s no way to stop it,” their doctor tells the camera, while they baby-proof their home and stock up on nappies and other supplies.
