Is it teething time for your little one?

The kids always get excited when you add a fun twist to their activities, and this is one that they are sure to get hours of enjoyment from in the summer days ahead.

What you will need:

  • Water
  • Cornstarch
  • Bowl
  • Food colouring
  • Ice cube trays

What to do:

  1. The first thing to do is mix up a batch of homemade chalk. The simplest way to do this is to mix a cup of water, a cup cornstarch and plenty of food colouring. To make different colours, either pour the batch into different containers, or make several smaller batches.
  2. All you need to do then is place some of the liquid chalk into the ice cube trays, then pop them in the freezer to harden.
  3. Once the chalks are hard enough to take outside and draw with on the hard pavement, pop them out of the trays and have some fun!
