Andrew Brown’s seven-year-old daughter, Hayley, was diagnosed with cancer in June of this year.

In order to help treat the youngster she was put on eight months of chemotherapy and radiotherapy, and sadly lost her hair.

That is apart from one eyelash that has, according to Andrew, been clinging on for weeks.

Taking to his Facebook page to highlight his young daughter’s battle, Andrew uploaded a photo of Hayley looking down and focuses the camera on the single lash.

He captioned the photo:  “That one last eyelash has been hanging on, on it's own, for a few weeks now.”

“Right through people, including her older sister, always said how jealous they were of her beautiful big eyelashes,” Andrew told Kidspot.

“But then one day she was complaining about something in her eye. The lashes were all coming out one at a time.”

Not surprisingly, comments have been flooding in with one person writing: “What a beautiful unique picture.”

“Hayley is such an incredibly beautiful and strong young girl.

“She's such a doll, and I hope that one eyelash is surrounded by many others, thicker and fuller than ever before.”

A Help for Hayley fundraising page was set up by Andrea Huggins with the aim of raising moneyto help the Brown family with parking, citylink, fuel, medicine, rent and bills.

"This is a time when the family needs its parents most and they may be unable to work. Bills will still come in and there will be additional costs of daily living so these funds will be used to help them however they need it most," she wrote.
