The majority of pregnancy announcements which make headlines around the world generally tend to involve celebrities or the touching reactions of hopeful parents-to-be, but it looks like the latest one has bucked the trend entirely.
Putting her father under the spotlight on Christmas Day, one very mischievous young woman named Brooke decided to trick her unassuming father into thinking their family would be expecting a new addition in the not-too-distant future.
Unwrapping a present to reveal three pairs of baby socks, the father at the centre of the prank which has now gone viral appears lost for words as he desperately grapples with the implications of his young daughter’s supposed announcement.
Looking into the camera before glancing at other family members for confirmation he’s having the wool pulled over his eyes, Brooke’s dad appears stricken before demanding he be told the truth.
The footage of the family’s atypical Christmas-style pregnancy announcement has made headlines all over the world, with Brooke tweeting: ”My dad told me someone just stopped him and asked to take a picture with him because he saw my video.”
