Capturing this transition perfectly in a video he uploaded to YouTube yesterday, dad-of-one, Patrick Corr, explained the innumerable ways his life has changed since becoming a father and reflects, most importantly, on the impact his son Benji has had on him.
The soft spoken Co. Cork man acknowledges that his needs and desires now take a back seat while he attempts to navigate the ups and downs of parenthood, but admits the arrival of his son last December was the best thing that's ever happened him.
While the video begins as a handy guide to fatherhood, the 28-year-old inadvertently ends up starring in a video which will no doubt go down in family history.
