Massive congratulations are in order this afternoon following the announcement that much-loved Irish TV star, Pamela Flood, is expecting her third child!

The former Miss Ireland, who rose to fame for her presenting role on RTÉ fashion show Off the Rails, is overjoyed at the prospect of becoming a mum for the third time.

Speaking to The Independent, the 43-year-old mum-of-two revealed that the idea to extend their family arose during a conversation with her husband, Ronan Ryan.

"We were just talking about the kids and how they’re so great and we are so happy and Ronan looked at me and he said ‘I’d love another one’ and I said ‘so would I'", Pamela recalled.

Overjoyed to learn she was pregnant just five weeks later, Pamela credits a number of factors for the welcome news, saying: "I reckon it was a few things because firstly the pressure was off because we said ‘well it would be great if it happens, but if it doesn’t it doesn’t’ and then I think a big part of it I believe is lifestyle."

The Tallaght-born star, who is mum to son Harrison and daughter Elsie, believes her personal routine may have played a role, saying: "It is long proven that exercise can regulate your hormones and keeps everything in check, so I do think that the exercise and the diet helped things a lot. But I can’t say for sure."

Pamela, who conceived her first child at 38, insists age is nothing, but a number, saying: "I will be 44 this month and even though I know I am going to be that age, I don’t feel it. I might look it, but mentally I certainly don’t feel it."

We think she looks incredible and we couldn't be happier for her!
